Spring Cleansing (part 2)
(continued from Spring Cleansing part 1)Additionally, you can support the process by doing either a liver or gall bladder detox, or both. For more information on these forms of cleansing, check out my talk in March. (Details at the end of this letter) What NOT TO DO on a spring cleanse? I recommend watching out for extreme fasting and cleansing programs. Any method that approaches the body as if it were broken and in need of an external solution makes me nervous. The body knows what it is doing. We want to support that simplicity without pushing the body to an extreme. I have seen more problems than good from the “super colon blow” type programs that are a “one size fits all” approach to detox. Additionally, you want to take into consideration your unique constitution on a cleanse. Some people need protein during a cleanse, others need much less. I use metabolic typing to gauge the best recommendations for my clients. For more information on metabolic type and cleansing, contact me directly. Thanks!
